Mr Msabala has over 20 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry. He obtained his Electrical Engineering qualification from Universiti Petronas in Malaysia fully funded by the South African Department of Minerals & Energy (“DME”) and completed various post-graduate courses including the Master of Science degree in Project Management from University of Pretoria.

Mr Msabala management and leadership roles commenced in early stages with being a Head Prefect and President of Student Representative Council at Brindhaven Secondary and the Chair of South African Student Chapter at Petronas Universiti in Malaysia. Thereafter became member of national executive committee of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE).

Mr Msabala started his engineering career at Murray & Roberts Engineering Solutions, there-after joined Petroleum Oil and Gas Corporation of South Africa where he occupied various senior technical and management roles such as Project Engineer, Lead Project Manager and Capital Projects Manager, focusing on delivering key infrastructural projects. From 2020, he joined Central Energy Fund as a Regional Project Manager thereafter appointed as General Manager for Energy Projects Division, providing management leadership in the planning, business development, project governance and execution of strategic energy investments projects. He currently serves as the Acting Group Chief Operations Officer at CEF SOC and Executive Director of CEF Trading SOC.

Mr Msabala registered with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and also the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Profession (SACPCMP) as Professional Construction Project Manager (Pr.CPM).
