Cape Town, South Africa – The Central Energy Fund (CEF) Group proudly announces the continuation of its partnership with the Africa Energy Indaba for the third consecutive year. This ongoing collaboration signifies a steadfast commitment to advancing the energy landscape in the region and fostering sustainable energy practices.

The Africa Energy Indaba, renowned for its role as a leading business platform in the energy sector, has proven to be an instrumental avenue for knowledge exchange, promoting innovation, and catalysing collaborative efforts. By extending this partnership, the CEF Group and its group companies, PetroSA, AEMFC, iGas, PASA and SFF, aims to contribute to the shared goal of addressing energy challenges and promoting responsible energy practices.

Over the past years, the energy sector has witnessed remarkable developments, with a particular focus on renewable energy initiatives. The partnership between the Central Energy Fund and the Africa Energy Indaba aligns with the shared vision of searching for appropriate energy solutions to meet the energy needs of South Africa, the Southern African Development Community and the sub-Saharan African region, including oil, gas, electrical power, solar energy, low-smoke fuels, biomass, wind and renewable energy sources. CEF also manages the operation and development of the oil and gas assets and operations of the South African government.

The CEF Group remains dedicated to leveraging this collaboration to encourage technological advancements, facilitate strategic discussions, and explore new avenues for investment in the energy sector. This partnership not only underscores the commitment to sustainable development but also reinforces the importance of collaboration in navigating the dynamic energy landscape.  The SADC region boasts a diverse landscape of oil and gas potential, with countries such as Namibia, Angola, Mozambique, Tanzania, Botswana, and Zimbabwe experiencing significant developments in this sector.
